A New Golden Age of AI Innovation in Life Science and Healthcare

Inside Washington’s Leading AI in Life Sciences Event of 2026

Last week’s gathering brought together an exceptional group of speakers, members, and invited guests for what proved to be a highly engaging and meaningful conversation on the future of artificial intelligence in life sciences. From thoughtful policy discussions to cutting-edge innovation in healthcare technology, the event reflected both the momentum and complexity of this rapidly evolving space.

A special thank you goes to our sponsors—eMHIC, Goodwin Procter, Dartmouth Consortium for Deep BioSensing and Wearables, and JK Strategies—whose support made this event possible.

Key Highlights from the Program

The program featured a dynamic lineup of speakers offering perspectives from across government, industry, and research:

  • Dr. Mark Atalla shared insights into how the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is approaching AI, particularly its role in advancing interoperability, improving data access, and fostering innovation across the healthcare system.

  • Dr. Henry Mack discussed the Department of Labor’s efforts to strengthen the American workforce in an AI-driven economy. He emphasized the growing importance of workforce development and training programs as AI continues to reshape job opportunities. (Attendees were encouraged to text “Ready” to 20202 to learn more.)

  • Dr. Tam Vu highlighted the groundbreaking work of the Dartmouth Consortium for Deep BioSensing and Wearables. His remarks explored how sensor technologies and continuous data collection are beginning to transform how we monitor health and improve outcomes. We look forward to continuing this conversation in greater depth at our upcoming session on June 11.

  • Congressman Jake Auchincloss provided a timely overview of the policy landscape, including congressional efforts related to AI and healthcare innovation. He underscored the importance of thoughtful, forward-looking regulation that can keep pace with technological advancement.

  • Shaye Mandle of AdvaMed offered valuable insight into the digital health ecosystem, focusing on how AI-enabled technologies are being integrated into care delivery and the challenges and opportunities innovators face in bringing these solutions to market.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited about what lies ahead as we continue to convene leaders at the forefront of AI and life sciences. If you missed the event, be sure to check out our recap video and stay tuned for more opportunities to engage in the months to come.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us. We look forward to building on this momentum together.
